I was shocked and deeply disturbed when I saw this band marching triumphantly past our newly sworn in president who was grinning ear to ear as he waved. What was once in the closet is now celebrated in the streets, literally. It is a sad day in America when such wickedness is condemned, yeah encouraged by our most powerful leader. It is evident that President Obama has wasted no time in his efforts to embrace the Sodomite Community as President of the United States. In addition to the parade, Mr. Obama had New Hampshire Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson, the Episcopal Church's only openly homosexual bishop, give the invocation at one of the many events held on Sunday preceding the inauguration. The official White House website (http://www.whitehouse.gov/agenda/civil_rights/) reveals the following about President Obama agenda for the gay community: He seeks to Expand Hate Crimes Statutes, Fight Workplace Discrimination, Support Full Civil Unions and Federal Rights for LGBT Couples, Repeal Don't Ask-Don't Tell, and Expand Adoption Rights for homosexual "couples." included in this section is the following quote from Mr. Obama, "While we have come a long way since the Stonewall riots in 1969, we still have a lot of work to do. Too often, the issue of LGBT rights is exploited by those seeking to divide us. But at its core, this issue is about who we are as Americans. It's about whether this nation is going to live up to its founding promise of equality by treating all its citizens with dignity and respect."
A major departure has occurred in any nation when a lifestyle of perversion is labeled as a group of minorities who need their civil rights protected. Speaking against a race of people in pride and hatred purely because of the color of their skin is not the same as crying out against those who choose to live immorally. If Mr. Obama succeeds in further establishing Sodomites as a minority group it will impede the free speech of those who adhere to the moral code of Biblical law. Preaching against Sodomy must not be associated with the hate speech of those who would suppress and intimidate a minority group.
God's word is clear about his condemnation of Sodomite behavior. Asa the King of Judah is listed as doing what was right in the eyes of the Lord in (I Kings 15:11).
1Ki 15:11 And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father. (KJV)
Immediately following this verse it is recorded that Asa drove the Sodomites out of the land.
1Ki 15:12 And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made. (KJV) (Emphasis Added)
God called the suppression of immoral behavior by the leader of a nation as RIGHT! Yet today it is improbable that a national leader would openly condemn Sodomy, and unthinkable that he would try to silence it! In short, America is moving in the wrong direction when it embraces Sodomy. I acknowledge that all men are created equal under God and are endowed with certain inalienable rights. Perversion however is not a right. As a nation we must condemn it not protect it, if we are going to truly be, ONE NATION UNDER GOD.
